The Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) visa (commonly referred to as the ‘ENS visa’) allows employers to sponsor foreign workers for permanent residence to fill genuine vacancies in their business.
In general, a successful applicant will need to have the correct occupation on the Department’s Occupation’s List, have an IELTS equivalent of band 6 in each component, be under a certain age and have a valid skills assessment if applying under the Direct Entry stream.
The ENS visa has the following three streams:
To apply for the ENS visa program, an applicant will first need to check their requirements to work in Australia. Secondly, a Sponsor will need to lodge a Nomination application through the Department’s portal. Once approved, the applicant will then need to prepare all documents required at the time of application and lodge a valid ENS application online.
