Arnika Hassankhah

Arnika Hassankhah is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws at Bond University, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law and Legal Practice.

Coming from a Persian background and growing up speaking Farsi, Arnika has a strong appreciation for culture, identity and the experiences of people from diverse backgrounds. Her multicultural upbringing and involvement with Bond University’s Middle Eastern Society have shaped her interest in migration law and her passion for supporting people from different communities.

Throughout her studies, Arnika has represented Bond University in two national legal competitions, including a Client Interview Competition and the Witness Examination Competition in Adelaide. She has also undertaken a Parliamentary Research Internship, developing her experience in legal and policy research.

Arnika is actively involved in university leadership as Corporate Relations Director of the Bond Asian Law Students’ Association and Vice President of the Bond International Affairs Society.

Arnika has a strong commitment to volunteering and community service. She has volunteered with organisations and initiatives including Caritas Australia, House of Welcome and the Reading Project, where she supported children from refugee backgrounds. She also currently volunteers with a pro bono legal clinic.

Drawn to law by a strong sense of justice and a genuine desire to help people, Arnika is particularly interested in migration law because of the opportunity to support individuals and families through significant and often life-changing circumstances.

Arnika brings warmth, enthusiasm and empathy to her work. She is patient, approachable and dedicated to ensuring that clients feel listened to, supported and respected.

Arnika is fluent in English and Farsi.
